Asklepios/Aesculapius – Greek/Roman God of Healing

Greek Name Ασκληπιος, Transliteration Asklêpios, Asclepius, Roman Name Aesculapius, Translation To Cut Open

To Cut Open

Asclepius, Greco-Roman marble statue C1st-2nd A.D., State Hermitage Museum

ASKLEPIOS (Asclepius) was the god of medicine. He was also the patron god, and reputed ancestor, of the Asklepiades (Asclepiades), the ancient guild of doctors.

Asklepios was the son of Apollon and the Trikkaian (Triccaean) princess Koronis (Coronis). His mother died in labour and when she was laid out on the pyre, Apollon cut the unborn child from her womb. From this Asklepios received his name which means “to cut open.” Asklepios was raised by the centaur Kheiron (Chiron) who instructed him in the art of medicine. He grew so skilled in the craft that he was able to restore the dead to life. This was a crime against the natural order and so Zeus destroyed him with a thunderbolt

General Search for the Celtic Healing Goddess Sirona

This is the link for my first general search on google.com keywords “Goddess Sirona” : Sirona – General Seach

On this page, there are other topics you can click on for more information about the Goddess Sirona. To me, she is not only a very interesting diety she is also one of the Goddesses I work with the most often. I have worked with her and/or her through me for so long I consider Sorona a personal friend and one of my patron deities.

I am still looking for pictures that actually represents Sirona the Celtic Goddess instead of how the Romans represented her.

SIRONA Celtic Healer Goddess

Also known as DIRONA Gaulish Fertility Goddess of Hot Springs and Healing

Having fertility trouble? It’s okay, don’t be embarrassed. Just take a hot bath three times a day and you’ll feel much better.

SIRONA is associated with fellow Healing God GRANNUS — although we have yet to see a marriage certificate.

She is also associated with the sky. Her name means ‘star’ and she seems to have an interest in Astronomy too.

Sirona – Goddess of Healing Springs

{This is a Goddess I have work with and had her work through me for many years now. She has always come when I have called to her to help with healing myself and many other people.}

Goddess worshipped by the Treveri in the Moselle Valley. A healing deity, she was associated with healing springs; her attributes were snakes and eggs. Many of her temples and shrines were constructed around thermal springs or wells.

She was associated with the sky, her name means “star” and she is a goddess of healing, astronomy, and fertility. She was often depicted with a snake drapped over her arm for the sign of rebirth, carrying 3 eggs, and wearing a crown or diadem of stars and sometimes she is depicted with a dog in her lap.

What Are the 7 Major Chakras?

Chakras are an individual’s energy centers that are associated with physical, mental and emotional interactions. They are the openings in a person’s aura that allows life energy to flow into and out of. The function of a chakra is to vitalize the physical body and to bring about the development of self-consciousness.

Chakras have been depicted as a funnel of sorts with smaller funnels within the funnel.

The 7 major chakras are root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, brow and crown. Read on to learn the colors associated with each chakra and the purposes they serve.

Chakras

DESCRIPTION
There are seven major energy centers in the body known as ‘Chakras’.  Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means “wheel”.  Therefore, a chakra is like a wheel spinning vortex that whirls in a circular motion forming a vacuum in the center that draws in anything it encounters on its particular vibratory level. The body does contain hundreds of other chakras that are instrumental to the operation of our existence.

Each of the seven main chakras are connected to specific organs, glands and body systems and each chakra is connected to a color vibration frequency.  (These are outlined in more detail below). These energy centers are coded with information that can be in the form of a color vibration, ultra-violet ray, radio or micro wave, or to another person’s aura.  Our chakras radiate energy vibrations as well as receive the energy of our environment, including the people we are in contact with.  Have you ever noticed how another person’s mood effects your own?

WHERE:

Coven Life’s Chatroom

What you will need:

A purple candle. (If you don’t have purple, use white)

Lighter or matches.

An amulet  (preferably small enough to hold in your hand).

As we will be doing a ritual for protection, you may want to decorate your altar with lavender, amethyst, or other items you may have that are purple.

RITUAL

Tonight we are honoring the full moon, known as the Hare Moon. There are many legends and folk tales of the hare and the image of him on the moon. In most, it is a tale of virtue that brings good fortune to the person that unselfishly gives of himself to help others. A great lesson to learn. It is a moon of abundance, growth, and protection. We will use this energy to empower an amulet to provide protection. I will now call the Watchtowers.

MAIA: I call the Watchtower of the East to protect those inside and outside our circle today.

I call upon the Watchtower of the South to protect those inside and outside our circle today.

I call upon the Watchtower of the West to protect those inside and outside our circle today.

I call upon the Watchtower of the North to protect those inside and outside our circle today.

Please open your quarters and please hear our call.

I call upon Spirit to guide us in peace and love.

I ask the Goddess Diana to walk this circle three times three to lend us her power and energy as we gather here today. Let us come together and celebrate the lunar Goddess and the power she brings.

Merry greet brothers and sisters of the craft.

EVERYONE: Please type your name and country you live in.

MAIA: We gather here this day to ask the Goddess for protection from harm to our physical or mental well being. Let no one cause injury or heartache to our body or soul and may we be mindful to not cause pain for others.

EVERYONE: Please light your candle.

Please hold the item you have chosen to empower in your hands. Close your eyes and feel the item. See the item in your mind’s eye. Envision a protective barrier surrounding the item. Take 2 minutes to make the item your own personal amulet.

EVERYONE: When ready, type As I will it So Mote It Be!

Carry your amulet to feel protected or if it is large, place it by the front door of your house. It can be on a chain on your neck, hang from your rearview mirror, on a keychain, etc. Remember the power your amulet holds is the energy you have given it….recharge it by holding it in your hand and meditating.

MAIA: I dismiss the Watchtower of the East with thanks for their energy and protection here today.

I dismiss the Watchtower of the South with thanks for their energy and protection here today.

I dismiss the Watchtower of the West with thanks for their energy and protection here today.

I dismiss the Watchtower of the North with thanks for their energy and protection here today.

I dismiss Spirit from our circle with love and thanks.

I thank the Goddess Diana for her presence here today and for lending us her energy for protection. Please return from where you came.

Extinguish the candle safely.

The circle is open, but not broken. Go in perfect love and perfect trust.

Thank you, brothers and sisters, for joining us here today. Until Merry, we meet again.

Types Of Wicca

Alexandrian Wicca

Founded in England during the 1960s, Alex Sanders referred to himself as the “King” of his Witches. The rituals are said to be modified Gardenarian.

British Wicca

A mix of Celtic and Gardenarian beliefs. Most famous organization at this time is the International Red Garters. British Traditionals move mostly from within the Farrar studies (the famous Witch husband and wife from England.) They too are fairly structured in their beliefs, and train through the degree process. Their covens are also co-ed.

Celtic Wicca

The use of a Celtic/Druidic pantheon mixed with a little ritual Gardnerian, and heavily stressing the elements, nature and the Ancient Ones. They had a vast knowledge of and respect for the healing and magickal qualities of plants and stones, flowers, trees, elemental spirits, the little people, gnomes and fairies.
