No Mabon Gathering

I am sorry but we will not be hosting a Mabon gathering this year. We are still trying to figure out if we want to do another chatroom which is not very interactive or use Skype so everyone can see and hear what is being done in the ritual. Plus with Skype our social hour and monthly open chats I believe will be more fun and interesting. This way you also get to see you coven sisters and brothers. If you do not have a web cam or only want to do audio that will be up to each person. We will tell you more about how it will work before the next full Moon on October 1st in the Northern Hemisphere and October 2nd in the Southern Hemisphere. One way or another the October full Moon Esbat will happen.

Witches Magick for Sunday – Stone of Luck Spell

Sasha cat the Witch

The Witches Magick for Sunday, March 11 – Stone of Luck Spell

You can use the Stone of Luck spell for anything, love, money, health, wealth, spirit awareness, etc. The key to this empowerment is concentration and belief. When you have completed this spell, carry the stone around with you. Eventually you will start to get what you want.

What you need:
1 Small stone of your choice (any kind)
1 candle (correct color for what you want)
Appropriate herbs
Appropriate incense
Salt Water
A cloth
Oil (either olive, jasmine, or mint) Some bowls (glass or crystal)

First you need to meditate on what you want, be it money, love, better health….whatever you want. After you feel you have meditated long enough, you may start the spell.

Light the candle and incense. (Be sure you have all of the things you need with you.) Hold the rock in your power hand. Concentrate on what you want. Run the rock through the flame 3 times. Then put it into the water.

Cup your hands over the bowl. Then take the rock out of the water and sprinkle the herbs on it. After you have done that, put the rock into a dry bowl. Visualize yourself getting what you want.

Then anoint the rock with the oil and put the rock back into the dry bowl. Sprinkle some salt onto the rock. Concentrate more. Then wrap the rock in the cloth and leave it for at least 24 hours.

Let the candle and incense burn all the way out. Dispose of the water

.
So mote it be!

Some Decisions to Be Made About Where to Hold Gatherings

Today I am having a fibromyalgia flare as well as healing from falling in my front door as opposed to walking in because Star, my familiar, cut through my legs instead of coming in beside me after her bathroom break. I broke the fall with my hands so I didn’t do a face plant onto the tile entranceway.

Thank you very much for your, support, understanding, and patience while I am doing all the posts on my tablet. A huge thanks for the prayers, candles being lit, and donation to make it possible to get a dell desktop with monitor, keyboard, mouse, and speakers that will be my super hacked laptop!!! The computer etc should be here September 18th to the 23rd. I’m asking my patron God, Ra, and goddesses, Luna and Gaia for it to get here tomorrow. If anyone wants to ask for my computer to be delivered tomorrow. I can post so much more when I get it.

I am still working on possibly getting a different chatroom for gatherings. Another thought is just using Skype for gatherings we can have 50 people on the conference call, a person can attend either through video or just vocally, instead of those at the gathering waiting without seeing anything as the gathering leader casts the circle, calls the watchtowers if they choose to, the ritual/ceremony attendees can work the ritual/ceremony at the same time as the leader is doing it. Heart’s Spirit Coven can be more interactive besides being virtually face to face. Another idea is using the Zoom app which I am told has better privacy for conference calls. I’ll be giving you more information about Zoom later this week after I research it. After I have researched the Zoom app I will be putting up a poll to find out what people perfer.

Lammas/Lughnasadh Blessing

Lammas History: Welcoming the Harvest

By

Updated April 29, 2019

At Lammas, also called Lughnasadh, the hot days of August are upon us, much of the earth is dry and parched, but we still know that the bright reds and yellows of the harvest season are just around the corner. Apples are beginning to ripen in the trees, our summer vegetables have been picked, corn is tall and green, waiting for us to come gather the bounty of the crop fields. Now is the time to begin reaping what we have sown, and gathering up the first harvests of grain, wheat, oats, and more.

This holiday can be celebrated either as a way to honor the god Lugh, or as a celebration of the harvest.

Celebrating Grain in Ancient Cultures

Grain has held a place of importance in civilization back nearly to the beginning of time. Grain became associated with the cycle of death and rebirth. The Sumerian god Tammuz was slain and his lover Ishtar grieved so heartily that nature stopped producing. Ishtar mourned Tammuz, and followed him to the Underworld to bring him back, similar to the story of Demeter and Persephone.

In Greek legend, the grain god was Adonis. Two goddesses, Aphrodite and Persephone, battled for his love. To end the fighting, Zeus ordered Adonis to spend six months with Persephone in the Underworld, and the rest with Aphrodite.

Follow, Your Roots

Not only is it important to acknowledge the patterns of the land where you live, but you may also find exploring your roots very inspiring. Where are your ancestors from? What traditions and celebrations did they observe historically? You probably won’t find books on these subjects in the New Age section of the library or bookstore — instead you’ll want to wander over to anthropology and folklore sections. If a particular tradition or day really resonates, consider how you can sincerely explore it. Are the people who live in that area today still observing it? Can you find videos online of the festivities? It might be worth a trip to immerse yourself more and see what you can discover about your roots.
