Your Chakras

Chakras are multi-colored, beautiful spinning wheels in our energy fields.  I like to envision them as the spinning pinwheels I had when I was a kid.

We have seven main chakra points.  (Some people believe we have many, many more, including hundreds of “mini-chakras”.)  Here are the main ones:

What Are the 7 Major Chakras?

Chakras are an individual’s energy centers that are associated with physical, mental and emotional interactions. They are the openings in a person’s aura that allows life energy to flow into and out of. The function of a chakra is to vitalize the physical body and to bring about the development of self-consciousness.

Chakras have been depicted as a funnel of sorts with smaller funnels within the funnel.

The 7 major chakras are root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, brow and crown. Read on to learn the colors associated with each chakra and the purposes they serve.

Chakras

DESCRIPTION
There are seven major energy centers in the body known as ‘Chakras’.  Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means “wheel”.  Therefore, a chakra is like a wheel spinning vortex that whirls in a circular motion forming a vacuum in the center that draws in anything it encounters on its particular vibratory level. The body does contain hundreds of other chakras that are instrumental to the operation of our existence.

Each of the seven main chakras are connected to specific organs, glands and body systems and each chakra is connected to a color vibration frequency.  (These are outlined in more detail below). These energy centers are coded with information that can be in the form of a color vibration, ultra-violet ray, radio or micro wave, or to another person’s aura.  Our chakras radiate energy vibrations as well as receive the energy of our environment, including the people we are in contact with.  Have you ever noticed how another person’s mood effects your own?

The Rainbow Chant/Song An Easy Way to Cleanse Children’s Chakras

When my 13-year-old granddaughter was a toddler she liked me to sing her to sleep. She also sneezed if I used White Sage to cleanse her Chakras, so we made up a song/chant to do them as she was going to sleep. We call it the Rainbow Song.

Have the child lay on their stomach, sing/chant each color, the flowing of one chakra to the next and the joining of the child’s chakras to the sky/universe and Mother Earth three times each. Ask the child at each chakra what they think is making it dirty. Incorporate that with getting the dark color of each chakra out. Use your power hand over each chakra to cleanse it.

Then starting with the red root chakra sing/chant, “Dark dirty red out, bright good red in.” (Base of the spine) You can ask the child to pick something that is a shiny red, such as a firetruck, to see in their mind to help bring the clean energy in.

The next chakra is the orange sacral chakra sing/chant, ” Dark dirty orange out, bright good orange in.” (Half way between root chakra and belly button) Ask the child to picture something bright orange, such as a pumpkin, to help bring the clean energy in.

The next chakra is the yellow solar plexus chakra sing/chant,  “Dark dirty yellow out, bright good yellow in.” (Locate over the diaphragm) Ask the child to picture something bright yellow, such as the Sun, to help bring the clean energy in.

Next we have the green heart chakra sing/chant, “Dark dirty green out, bright good green in. (Locate over the heart) Ask the child to think of something bright green like grass or leaves on a sunny day.

Next is the blue throat chakra sing/chant, “Dark dirty blue out, bright good blue in.” (Locate at the throat.) Ask the child to think of something bright blue like a lake or a bright blue sky.

The next chakra is the indigo third eye chakra sing/chant, “Dark dirty indigo out, bright good indigo in.” (Located in the middle of the forehead.) Ask the child to think of something that is very dark blue such as a flower.

Last is the violet or white crown chakra sing/chant, “Drak violet or white out, bright good violet or white in. (Located on the crown of the head.) Have the child think of a bright purple crayon or a white one.

Now starting at the root chakra and going up to the crown chakra sing/chant,” Red joins orange, orange joins yellow, yellow joins green, green joins blue, blue joins indigo, indigo joins violet or white. When doing this part use your power hand and run it up the child’s spine up to the crown of the head in one motion. Do not lift your hand off of child!

Have the child reach their arms above their head as far as they can comfortably reach before you start joining the chakras. Each time you get to the crown chakra sing/chant “The rainbow comes out of the fingers to join the universe!”

Lastly, go down the chakras from crown to root joining them in reverse order of what you did for the Universal joining. Each time you reach the root chakra sing/chant, “The rainbow comes out of the feet to join to Mother Earth!”

By joining the child to the Universe and Mother Earth, you give them a complete connection to everything around them.

What are Chakras?

Chakras, by definition, are energy centers within the human body that help to regulate all its processes, from organ function to to the immune system and emotions. We can commonly count 7 chakras positioned throughout your body, from the base of your spine to the crown of your head. Each chakra has its own vibrational frequency, that is depicted through a specific chakra color, and governs specific functions that help make you, well, human.

Introducing The 7 Major Chakras

Let’s start with a brief definition. What is a chakra? A chakra (pronounced “cha”-“kra” with a resounding “ch”) is a center of energy. Originating from Sanskrit, it literally means “wheel” by association with its function as a vortex of spinning energy interacting with various physiological and neurological systems in the body.

Learning About Chakras

By  Holistic Healing Expert

What is a Chakra Exactly?
Chakras are our energy centers. They are the openings for life energy to flow into and out of our aura. Their function is to vitalize the physical body and to bring about the development of our self-consciousness. They are associated with our physical, mental and emotional interactions.

What Do Chakras Look Like?

Chakras have been depicted as a funnel of sorts with smaller funnels within the funnel. They are also often referred to as looking like lotus flowers. I have intuitively viewed the intake of individual chakras as appearing similar to the blades of a fan or windmill in circular motion.

Chakra Affirmations

Chakra affirmations

As part of my own Spiritual practice, everyday as I get dressed I repeat the following Chakra Affirmations:

I am safe

I relate to others with ease

I stand in my unique power

I practice unconditional love and non-judgment

I express my truth

I see situations exactly as they are

I am connected and protected and cared for by the Divine all days, in all ways

It is really easy to do and doesn’t take any additional time out of my day…I am getting dressed anyway!  I used to look at a printed copy but have since memorized the affirmations.

The Seven Major Chakras

By Kellie Jo Conn, GG

The word chakra is derived from the Sanskrit word meaning wheel. If we were able to see the chakras as many(psychics, in fact, do) we would observe a wheel of energy continuously revolving or rotating.Clairvoyants perceive chakras as colorful wheels or flowers with a hub in the center. The chakras begin at the base of the spine and finish at the top of the head.

Though fixed in the central spinal column they are located on both the front and back of the body, and work through it….
