Lammas ritual

Lammas is known as the 1st of the 3 harvest festivals, it is still a time of hot intense sun but the days are starting to get shorter.  The grain is starting to ripen in the fields along with some of the fruits on the apple trees.

The goddess is pregnant and the god is still very strong but slowly weakening as we move into fall.  The animals are fattening for the winter slaughter and there is a push to start the process of storing food away for the lean months but at this time the days are still easy

Items needed for the ritual:

Apples, grapes, bread

gold or yellow cloth

sunflowers or raw wheat

Incense sandalwood and frankincense

Have a candle on your altar to represent the Harvest Mother — choose something in orange, red or yellow.

Corn husk or two

Place symbols of your craft or skill on the altar—a notebook, your special paints for artists, a pen for writers, other tools of your creativity. To represent the god Lugh

Please decorate your altar properly with a yellow or gold cloth, a nice sunflower and or a sheath of wheat, maybe an apple or a few grapes and/or a loaf of bread. This is to represent the sun  in the yellow or orange cloth.   A goblet of ritual wine is optional.

EVERYONE IN SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE: We open the ritual with the walking around the circle 3 times in a counter clockwise direction.  We first point at the ground with our dominate hand asking the earth for its power to make this circle secure for the work we are to do here.  We walk a second time with our dominate hand outstretched at shoulder level asking water to secure our circle and finally we walk a third time with our hand pointed to the ceiling asking  air to help secure our circle and the work that we do here.  We finally say what is above is below and what is below is above we have created a circle to protect ourselves while we do our work may we harm no one and may no one harm.

Starting in the west and while touching the item that represents the west say watchtower of the west please help us with our circle today and protect us as we do our work

Next is the south and while touching the item that represents the south say watchtower of the south please help us with our circle today and protect us as we do our work

Next the east and while touching the item that represents the east say watchtower of the east please help us with our circle today and protect us as we do our work

Finally in the north and while touching the item that represents the north say watchtower of the north please help us with our circle today and protect us as we do our work

Light the candle, and say:

The wheel of the year is upon use

The food is plentiful and soil fertile

With this ritual we ask for the blessings

Of the Mother of the harvest

In honor of the Harvest we now will make a representation of the goddess using your corn husk and once the ritual is over please leave it on your altar to honor the goddess.

PLEASE READ THE DIRECTIONS BEFORE THE GATHERING AND PRINT THEM OUT OR TAKE NOTES SO YOU KNOW HOW TO MAKE IT.

Here is an example of how to make a corn husk doll

When you are done please type the word “DONE”

Now we will finish our ritual.  Point to the ceiling with your dominate hand and walk in a counter clockwise direction and say thank you air for your protection of our circle.  Now at shoulder level walk around the circle in a counter clock wise manner and thank water for the protection of our circle.  Finally point to the ground and walk in a counter clockwise manner thanking earth for protecting our circle.  Finally raise your hands above your head bring them down and point your palms at the ground and send any extra energy into the earth to help and heal our Mother.  End with the comment our circle is now open but it is never broken our work is done now may everyone go in peace.

Starting in the north and while touching the item that represents the north say Thank you to the watchtower of the north for helping us with our circle and you may leave if you must but stay if you like

Next is the east and while touching the item that represents the east say Thank you to the watchtower of the east for helping us with our circle and you may leave if you must but stay if you like

Now the South and while touching the item that represents the south say Thank you to the watchtower of the south for helping us with our circle and you may leave if you must but stay if you like

Finally is the west and while touching the item that represents the west say Thank you to the watchtower of the west for helping us with our circle and you may leave if you must but stay if you like

Blessed Be

Please enjoy some of the gifts from your altar, take a sip of the wine some of the bread etc.  Make sure you have enough, to enjoy the treats, also that you can leave some on the altar but also make sure you share some with the creatures of nature.  As you eat of your sacrifices remember and meditate on how the cycle of life goes from the seed to the plant and then back to seed to start all over again just like the wheel of the year continues to cycle through birth, adolescents, maturity, age, death and then of course rebirth.

A Full Moon Esbat Ritual

I am sorry with everything that has happened in my life so far this month that I completely forgot about the full Moon Esbat. We will be having a new Moon Esbat on Saturday, November 23rd with a party hour will start at 6:00 PM CST with the Circle being cast at 7:00 PM CST. If you are not and student and/or member of Coven Life’s Coven please leave a comment if you would like to attend as this is an invitation only Esbat event to imitate our Elders and new coven members.

Now back to our wonderful November full Moon to celebrate we are going to do another drum along with a song. All you need is one white candle any size will do, the larger it is the more times you can use it to honor the Moon Goddess name you chose make sure to inscribe the name into your white candle. Below is a link containing some of the Moon Goddess’ name. Pick the one the “calls” to you”, in other words the one name you think,”That’s it!”

id you know there are also Gods or male names used for the Moon? It has been so long since I used one of them I had forgotten that some Gods are all associated with the Moon. So as many pagan traditions use duality and balance as part of their traditions I thought it would be a good idea to include some of the God names in case anyone wants to use one or more while celebrating tonight’s Full Moon. For this you will need a separate white candle again the size is your choice, the larger it is the more times you can light it to honor the Moon you have chosen, be sure to inscribe his name into the white candle for him. Same as with the Moon Goddess you will find different names for the Moon God. Again pick the one that calls to you.

You should decide for yourself if you are more comfortable working and dancing with a Goddess, God, or both and even if you want 2 or more of each. The most important thing for you to do in any solitary ritual is to do what feels right for you.

You will need something to use as a drum or clapping your hands or however you feel you should keep with the rhythm of the song. The song I picked for this full Moon is The Earth is Our Mother (Ancient Chant)

Play the song from YouTube on whatever you want to. I suggest casting a circle before you begin listening to the music and drumming even possibly singing along with the chat. As the song is about Mother Earth you should consider grounding all the energy raised as you listen, drum, and maybe sing to Mother Earth for her to use however she needs to.

Always remember to thank whatever Goddess or God you call upon to enter your circle. Open/Close your circle. Than write about in your Book of Shadows the ritual what God or Goddess or both that you called upon, then name of the song, what you used to keep rhythm with to the song, whether you dance or sang or both and how you felt during after the ritual, how you cast you circle and open/closed it. This way you can look back at it if you want to do something like this again. I suggest you write in your Book of Shadows about any magikcal workings you do whether it is alone or a lesson for which ever level course you are on or with the coven. If you choose to share how your ritual went please write about in the comment section for the post. Thank you.

What Do I Need to Have and Do to Be a Witch – series continues Part 1

How Long Does a Spell Take to Work?

Let me start by reminding you the Universe, Gods, and Goddesses do not wear watches, look at clocks, or use calendars as we do. Where we may think of time in different ways for different things in this lifetime starting with a year being 365 days for 3 years in a row and than the 4th year has 366 days. Or to break it down smaller those day are broke down into 12 months 11 of them always have either 30 or 31 days and the 12th month consist of 28 dayys for 3 years in a row and every 4th year it gets 1 extra day. The 12 months break down in 52 weeks most consistening of 7 days. 7 days breaks down for a total of 168 hrs or 24 hours per day every day of a year. I could go futher and break it down to the number of minutes and seconds per day but I don’t feel like borung you or doing the math right now. The form of a calendar was introduced in 1584 by Pope Gergory XIII and is referred to as the Gregorian calendar.

Right about now if I were you I would be asking myself, “What does this have to do with Witchcraft and spellwork?” The answers is we are bound on this planet by time restrictions be it something that make time seem to go faster or be it something that makes it feel like time is running slower but no matter on the passing of time feels a day still only has 24 hours, each hour 60 minutes, and each minute has 60 seconds.

When we write a spell the questios I was taught to ask and teach my students to ask include When should the spell start and when should it come to furitation? Going back to my original sentence that Goddesses, Gods, and The Universe do not wear watches or look at clocks to find out what time it is, nor do thet look at at calendar to see the day or date or even what year it is.

Keeping in mind about time, the Universe, and when you want a spell to come to fruitation bring the results you want. Let me tell you from personal experience one spell I did multiple times a years for 17 years and each year I would pick a date for my spell to come to fruitation. I wrote a spell for each phase of the Moon asking for a coffee shop to open up within walking distance of my house. Here’s where we go to lack of Universal time for me it took 17 1/2 years for my spell to work but if you think of how long scientists have said our universe has been around those 17 1/2 years are probably less than a blink of an I for the God and Goddess I invoked to help my spells to have more power. But there is now a nice coffee shop about 5 blocks from my home that also has yummy baked goods they make right there.

A close friend of mine wrote different spell and rituals to bring as perfect of a fit as possible to what she wanted in a man for a long term relationship. After dating a few men that were not right at all when she really got to know them. But she kept empowering a special jar where she placed things and a list of the qualties the right man she wanted it had. Each time she tired and it wasn’t the right man she got discouraged but did not give up and about 4 years after doing a lovers spell for the 1st her dream man came into her life and they are very happy together. I need to stress this was not a special to make a specific man fall in love with her. The spell was sent out for a man to come to her of his own free will to see if they were compatible or not.

The reason for these examples is to stress you may have to wait for your spell to work and when it does it is because it is at the time in your life you really need it to come to fruition. So don’t get upset if it doesn’t happen by the date you set for it to. I have learned instead of setting a specific date I want wherever it is I did the spell for I ask the deity and/or universe to find the right time in my life for it to happen. There are exceptions to this like healing or comforting spells or a ritual for someone who died to cross the veil as these are thing we need our spells to work as quick as possible and the Goddesses and Gods can see the urgency in the spell or ritual happening right now.

I have been asked many times if a spell has to rhyme or not. This is a topic that is damaged daily by pagans especially witches. The Wicce/Wican Rede says, “To bind the spell every time, let the spell be speak in rhyme.” But their are traditions in the pagan community that follow none of the Wicce/Wiccan and even some witches that do follow the major part of the Rede,”Do what ye will, least it harm none, and” do not always rhyme spells. Personally most of my spells rhyme but longer ones usually do not. I have over the years that when my spells rhyme because it takes longer for me to write them which helps me to focus more on my intent to make sure the words I am using have the correct meaning for the out come I want.

I strongly suggest that every with who is writing spells have a regular dictionary, a thesaurus (sometimes a word you are using his no rhyming word that works for your spell so you can look it up and find others words with same meaning that rhyme with another word you want to use in your spell), and lastly a rhyme dictionary (this dictionary has been invisible to me when my brain derails from failing to come up with the word I want to use.)

I teach my students as I was taught to have any spell we write to be able to answer all 6 of these questions:

Who is the spell for?

Why does the person including yourself want it done?

What is the spell for?

When is the best for the spell to be done?

When should the spell come to fruition?

How is the spell going to be done? This answer would list things like herbs, essential to oils, crystals, bags to make into a mojo bag, candles, paper, pen, altar items, etc.

The great thing about being a with is you do not have to follow my suggestions at all and do spell in a way you are comfortable with and you get results from.

Beltane/Samhain Sabbat Gathering April 30, 2019

This month’s Northern Hemisphere was written by and will be led by Lady Beltane. The Southern Hemisphere was written and will be led by Priestess Hypatia. The calling of the Watchtowers will be done by both. The circles will be cast at the same time for each hemisphere by the Elder that is leading it.

Sacred Circle cast at 7:00 PM Central Time

Beltane or May Day – Is the Sabbat that celebrates fertility. We will be honoring Beltane/Beltain/Beltaine the May Queen, a.k.a. Queen of the Fairies, to bless our gardens of all kinds be they vegetable, flower, herb or a seed we plant within our spirit to help us grow as a person and witch. The Fea Folk take the essences of the food and drinks offered to them they do not have need of the physical item as they can recreate it from the essences when they have a use for it.

Samhain – As the third and final harvest. This Sabbat heralds the commencement of the dark winter half of the year. Traditionally the veil between the spirit and physical realm is thin. This is the time the Dark Mother (Crone) and Father (Her aged Consort) are paid due respect A candle is often placed in the window to assist the ancestors to find their way home and offerings of food left at the altar and the doorstep for the wandering spirits. With the coming of darkness, nothing is what is seems, therefore for your own protection, a concentrated circle should always be performed prior to performing any ritual.

Making your own Samhain Incense

1 part Dittany (oregano from Crete that is thought to be highly protective)

½ part Pine

1 part Sandalwood

¼ part Patchouli

¼ part Benzoin Resin

Few drops of Pine oil

P.s- please feel free to be creative with whatever ingredients you have available.

Burn your incense on charcoal if you choose.

Burn this before, during and after the ritual if you choose.

What You Need in Northern Hemisphere:

Any type of bell – the louder the better

A Small Glass – Glass

Spoon

1 ounce Warm Milk

1 small pad Melted Butter

1 teaspoon of Honey – if you have a beekeeper close by asking them or use are honey if possible

Mix in either one or all of these spices 1/2 teaspoon dried ground ginger or 2-3 thin slices of fresh ginger or 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg or 3 whole cloves Oh can also set these spices on the treat/offering plate separately

What You Will Need in the Southern Hemisphere

  • Black candle that represents the dying God OR a yellow candle inscribed with a solar symbol (sun)
  • Offerings of flowers, fruits and grains
  • Divination tools that can include tarot cards and runes, use others if you wish
  • Cornbread to offer to the spirit of the dead
  • Samhain incense above

Watchtowers

Lady Beltane: We call Earth into the watchtower of the North to help to remember to always stay grounded.

Priestess Hypatia: We call Air into the watchtower of the East to help us keep an open mind when exploring and learning about different paths of witchcraft.

Lady Beltane: We call Water into the watchtower of the West to help to put us in someone else shoes to see things from their point of few when we are angry about something they had said or done to us.

Priestess Hypatia: We call Fire to the watchtower of the South to remind us to always keep kindness burning in our mind, heart, and spirit towards others in our minds.

Casting the Sacred Circles

Lady Beltane – Nothern Hemisphere: (Each time starting in the East) I walk this circle with Beltane the May Queen/Queen of the Fairies three times. First to close it with Fire that any negative thing will be burned up before it can harm those in this circle/ Second to close it with Air to blow away anything Fire has burned. Third to close it with Water so Fire cannot make it to hot in our circle. (Standing between the circle and altar facing North) Next, I lay my hands flat on the floor then stand slowly while slowing turning clockwise bring my hands to waist level – I call on Earth to protect us from below. Lastly, I raise my arms over my head and walk clockwise while bring them down to meet Earth at waist level – I call upon Spirit to protect us from above.

Priestess Hypatia – Southern Hemisphere: Cast your circle and build up your energy of protection around you, begin to burn your Samhain  Incense Invocation of the God and Goddess by saying:

‘As the veil between the two worlds thins, I ask for your blessing Dark Mother and Dark Father,

I greet those who have gone before me, my ancestors and loved ones.

May the circle only be entered by those who wish me well.

We greet all those departed before us and who are free of all Earthly ties.”

EVERYONE: Please type in your first or pagan name and what country or state you are from. DO NOT include your towns name, please.

Beltane Ritual – Northern Hemisphere

In your small glass mix together the milk, honey, spices, and melted butter. Now while ring your bell why you say:

We invite the Fea Folk into our yards and gardens to help our, plants and trees to grow.

To the Fea Folk that only have mischief on their minds, you are not welcome on my property or in my vegetable and/or flower pots.

We honor you Queen with this offering of milk, honey, butter and spices she enjoys as a sign of good faith that we will treat her people with respect and supply them with an offering every month that we have given to you, Your Highness.

Stop ring your bell for now. When you take the offering outside for the Fairy Queen after our circle has opened then ring the bell three times three waiting about 10 seconds in between the sets of three rings. Slowly pour the mixture under the tallest tree in your yard so that the last drop comes out on the last ring of the bell (the 9th ring). Every month when you take the offering out to the Fea Folk that are helping you ring your bell in the same way as you did to signal the Queen.

Samhain RItual – Southern Hemisphere

This is the time to spend a few moments thinking of your loved ones.

Then say:

“We thank you for your presence here tonight”

Next- Light the God candle

Then say:

“This candle symbolizes the Sun Lord- its passing and quenching. Tonight it is the wheel of the year turning allowing all you dead souls to walk amongst the living. We are grateful as we pass through and into the shadow of darkness. In honor of the Gods and Goddesses, we thank you for your glorious gifts received from the summertime. As the Lord of the Sun moves from us and as the wheel turns, so it will turn again until the Sun rises from the moon.”

Wait for 2 minutes contemplating the prayer and blow out the black God candle. Do not light the God candle until Yule.

Now acknowledge the Crone aspect of the Goddess and say:

“Oh, Great Goddess of both wisdom and magick speak to us of your power and wisdom.  We thank you and acknowledge your gifts of the decreasing moon and the glorious stars. They will be used wisely. Grant us your energy and force so that our spells, rituals and divinations will be enthused. Understand great Goddess that they shall bring no harm to your creatures.”

Dismiss the spirits and ancestors by saying: “Go in peace and aid us as we look beyond the long dark days.”

Afterward: Use your divination tools to gain perspective for the coming months, hold a simple feat, close the scared circle and finally bury the offerings in the earth and leave a plate of food for the wandering spirits.

March’s Coven Gathering – N.H. Ostara/ S.H. Mabon Sabbats and Full Moon Esbat

Because of the Sabbats falling so close to the full Moon this month I decided to have the rituals combined into one instead of having two gatherings within two days. -Lady Beltane

This Sabbat and Esbat ritual was written by two of Coven Life’s Coven Adepts. Their names are Country Moon and Druantia Earth-song. Druantia Earth-song will be leading the gathering. Please remember that both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres Sabbats are being celebrated and the full Moon you need to stay in the circle until all the rituals are fully done. You are welcome to do both Sabbat rituals if you want to.

RITUAL

ADEPT DRUANTIA: Greetings all! Tonight or Today we are drawn together to celebrate three special times-the Full Moon Esbat and Ostara/Mabon sabbats. This is a powerful time, with the emphasis on death, birth, and rebirth[releasing, renewing and balance]. With our spells being brought forth on a Full Moon and Sabbats the two together will make them stronger.
Before we begin, let us all introduce ourselves and state where we are from.
EVERYONE: Please type your first or pagan name, state or country.

ADEPT DRUANTIA: We will now cast the circle and call in the Guardians of the Watchtowers

Guardians of the Watchtowers of the East, Powers of Air, we humbly invite you to our circle and ask for your wisdom, guidance, and protection.
Guardians of the Watchtowers of the South, Powers of Fire, we humbly invite you to our circle and ask for your wisdom, guidance, and protection.
Guardians of the Watchtowers of the West, Powers of Water, we humbly invite you to our circle and ask for your wisdom, guidance, and protection.
Guardians of the Watchtowers of the North, Powers of Earth, we humbly invite you to our circle and ask for your wisdom, guidance, and protection.

Three times three the power is bound. As without, so within, All bad be gone znd good come in. As below  so above, A sacred place of light and love.”

INVOCATION OF THE GODDESS:
” We call upon the Goddess Danu to bring growth and equilibrium to our circle. Oh great Danu, mother of both Earth and Moon, we are gathered here this night/day to celebrate your fullness. Now is your time dear Lady and I ask that you come forth and be welcome in our circle. Please be with your earthly sons and daughters as we celebrate the Ostara/Mabon sabbats, and honor you in your time of ripeness. We ask that you bless us with your presence and lend your powers to our workings. Great Danu, We invoke  you!”
EVERYONE: Please light the Goddess candle.
INVOCATION TO THE GOD:
“We call upon the Greenman to bear witness to our rite. Oh great Cernunnos, Lord of the Wildwood and all it encompasses, We ask that you come forth and be welcome in our circle. Please be with your Earthly sons and daughters as we celebrate the Ostara/Mabon sabbats and honor the Lady in her time of ripeness. We ask that you bless us with your presence great Lord and lend your powers to our workings. Great Cernunnos, we call upon you!”
EVERYONE:  Please light the God candle
We will now begin our rituals … Beginning with the Northern Hemisphere. Southern Hemisphere, please wait until you are prompted.

NORTHERN HEMISPHERE

ADEPT DRUANTIA: At this time and in this place between worlds, we are gathered here, not only in honor of the Mother but also in honor of the Goddess Ostara. Just as she heralds the end of the dark phase of the year, so too do we release the dark within. Just as she signifies the awakening of the light phase, so too do we summon new growth and renewed energy.
EVERYONE: Please take one piece of paper and write down one to three things you wish to release (eg. I release all fears, I release my addiction to smoking, I release anger, I release guilt, I release depression, etc). If you have more than one thing, space them apart so that you can tear them off as you need to burn them. Once you have written it/them down, light the black candle. Spend 2 minutes concentrating on releasing the problem[s].
Then visualize it/them being attached to your body by a black cord. Individually put each problem into a bubble of white light and see a pair of scissors cutting the cord at the base to that attachment.  See the balloon of light flying off into the distance with your problem inside until it completely disappears. Do this with each separate problem, and as each is being released, light the paper in the candle flame one at a time, if you have more than one. Once burning well, throw into the heatproof bowl or cauldron and leave it to burn completely. You will have three minutes to burn the piece or pieces of paper.
Once you are finished type in DONE.
Now pick up the other piece of paper and write down one thing you would like to embrace or manifest in your life (eg: I embrace abundance and prosperity, I  embrace full mind, body, spirit wellness, I embrace good Luck, I embrace career success, I embrace happiness etc). Once you are done, place the paper down and pick up the crystal. Hold the crystal and concentrate on your desire. See it as it has already happened. Spend 2 minutes meditating upon your desire. Then place the crystal down with the paper underneath it
Once you are finished type in DONE
Now we will do the Southern Hemisphere. Northern hemisphere please be patient.

SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE

ADEPT DRUANTIA: At this time and in this place between worlds, we are gathered here, not only in honor of the Greenman but also in honor of the God Mabon. Just as he heralds the end of the light phase of the year, so too do we acknowledge the need for rest and retreat. Just as he signifies the coming of the dark phase of the year, so too do we plant seeds for positive new growth.
EVERYONE: Please take up one piece of paper and write down one to three things you wish to release (eg. I release all fears, I release my addiction to smoking, I release anger, I release guilt, I release depression etc). If you have more than one thing, space them apart so that you can tear them off as you need to burn them. Once you have written it/them down, light the black candle. Spend 2 minutes concentrating on releasing the problem[s]. Visualize each individual problem being attached by a black cord. Put the problem into a bubble of white light and see a pair of scissors cutting the cord at the base of this attachment. See the balloon of light flying off into the distance, with your problem inside until it completely disappears. Do this with each separate problem and as each is being released, light the paper in the candle flame one at a time if you have more than one. Once burning well, throw into the heatproof bowl or cauldron and allow to burn completely. You have three minutes to do this.
Once you are finished, type DONE.
Now take up the other piece of paper and write down one thing you would like to embrace or manifest (eg. I embrace abundance and prosperity, I embrace full mind, body, spirit wellness, I embrace good luck, I embrace career success, I embrace happiness etc). Once you are done, place the paper down and pick up the crystal. Hold the crystal and concentrate on your desire. See it as it has already happened. Spend 2 minutes meditating on your desire.
When finished, type DONE
THE OFFERING
EVERYONE: Please place your chalice in the center of your altar or on your pentacle. Hold your hands above the chalice and allow the light within you to flow from your heart and down your arms. See it flowing out of your hands and into the chalice. See the chalice glowing with light. Then raise it up high toward the Moon and say-
Dear Goddess and God, I offer you this drink as a token of my gratitude. Honor to thee  Oh Old Ones!”.
Then take a drink of the beverage and put the chalice back on the altar in its original place.
Next, move your offering plate to the center of your altar or onto your pentacle and hold your hands above it. Allow the light within to flow forth and down into the food. Once you have filled it with light, raise it up toward the Sun[or imaginary Sun] and say-
Dear Goddess and God, I offer you this food as a token of my gratitude. Honor to thee Oh Old Ones!
Then eat a bite of the food and place the plate back on the altar in its original place. Take a minute to finish your bite and then type DONE.
We thank the Old Ones for the food and drink they provide for us daily.
DISMISSING THE GOD AND GODDESS
O  Great Cernunnos, Lord of the Wildwood and all it encompasses, we thank you for honoring us with your presence and aid. Between two worlds, was magick made. Great Lord, we bid you Hail and Farewell !”
O Great Danu Mother of both Earth and Moon, we thank you for honoring us with your presence and aid. Between two worlds was magick made. Great Lady, we bid you Hail and Farewell !”
Now please visualize the God and Goddess going their separate ways, back to from whence they came. Then spend a moment releasing any energy you have retained. You can either bend down and touch the Earth or send it off to someone that is in need of healing. Either way, feel it and see it leaving your arms and going to its destination either deep in the earth to be absorbed and transformed or off to help someone. Once it has left you, stand up again.
DISMISSING OF THE WATCHTOWERS:
Guardians of the Watchtowers of the East, Powers of Air, we thank you for your protection and presence and give you leave to depart our circle. Hail and Farewell!”
Guardians of the Watchtowers of the North, Powers of Earth, we thank you for your protection and presence and give you leave to depart our circle. Hail and Farewell !”
Guardians of the Watchtowers of the West, Powers of Water, we thank you for your protection and presence and give you leave to depart our circle. Hail and Farewell !”
Guardians of the Watchtowers of the South, Powers of Fire, we thank you for your protection and presence and give you leave to depart our circle. Hail and Farewell !”
Three times three the power is ground. As without, so within, All bad be gone and good come in. As below  so above, A sacred place of light and love.”
ADEPT DRUANTIA:-
Our circle is open, but never ever  broken. Always shall it reside within our hearts.”
***After this ritual, please take the ashes outside and toss or blow to the four winds.Allow the black spell candle to burn down , but make sure it is in a safe place or transfer it to a bath tub or sink. The crystal should be placed in a window  that gets both sun and moon and set on top of your piece of paper. Leave it there for one Full Moon cycle.Your desire should have manifested by then…

The Importance of Grounding Excess Energy After Doing a Spell or Ritual

During any type of magickal workings there is energy that is unused to complete it. This energy, especially if it is allowed to build up over time can cause minor or major problems usually with electronic devices. So grounding the extra energy every single time you do a spell and/or ritual whether you are doing inside or outside of a sacred circle must be grounded to Mother Earth. She should be told the energy is here to use however it will help her. You should also do this anytime you cast a circle for any reason.

To ground the excess energy raise your hands palm facing downward, as far as you can than slowly bring them down until you touch the ground of outside of the floor inside. If you cannot bring your hand all the way down bring them.as close to the ground or floor as you can and then imagine the energy being pushed down from that level into Mother Earth.

Wether you are working alone as a Solitary or in a Coven this is a very important piece of the spell.and/or ritual to especially when I’m your home.

I have a sister who had practiced for a few years grounding the extra energy only when she felt like it which was not that often. One  day many years ago we were talking about witch stuff and she was explaining  some problems she was having with the lights on her altar along with the fact her desktop computer, which was in the same room wasn’t working right at all and no scans could find anything wrong. After explaining the importance of grounding she did a major grounding of the built up excess energy over the years including grounding herself. The next day her computer and lights in the room started working right again.

When I forget to ground excess energy, we all can for her sometimes, after doing a quick spell in my den which is also the room I use as my sacred space/altar room, it builds up and starts blowing up light bulbs somewhere in my home. So try not to let this happen very often, replacing light bulbs can be expensive…lol Even after lighting and putting out an empowered I ground this excess energy. I have a healing candle that I normally light daily to help with my fibromyalgia pain, so I ground excess energy almost every day. Yes sometime I for get to do it after I put the candle out and if I have not done anything else like a spell, ritual of a circle for some reason it does not cause me a problem but if I do not ground the excess energy after lighting the candle two days it will cause some  type of electrical problem in my, as I really  refer to it, witch cave, will.happen or in the bathroom that you enter into through my witch cave.

Besides feeding your intention in to your the other very important thing is to always ground excess energy as soon as your magical work is done. If you are working in a circle ground the excess energy before opening the circle.
