Update on Lady Abyss’ Area and News of Flooding from March in other Midwestern States from 1 of Our Novices

I know Lady Abyss would want us to not only asks for her and her family’s safety but for the wildlife, pets, and other humans affected by this natural disaster.

Let me just add this, there had been undergound mining for years all this flooding can cause new sink holes to open up or open ones to grow larger. So the damage from the tornadoes and flooding is just part of the danger Lady Abyss and others are facing.

Please pray for their safety amd light candles for their protection.

Flooding has been a huge problem this year for most of the Midwestern States. Our novice Hailea sent her last email to me was the beginning of March. Here is the last message she was able to get out to me. As she is a sherriff where she lives she is on the front line of keeping people safe. I ask you pray for her, her families, friends, animals, and all other people in these areas most of which are still under some water or trying to salavage what they can of their homes and towns.

“The flooding is affecting Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri currently. We are scrambling trying to sandbag what little bit is left to keep those who live in the hills with clean water as most of our water treatment centers are located along the rivers. It’s been an absolute mess and it looks like this will continue through the summer.

This is her email from March 16th:Just a little update. Here in Northwest Missouri we are experiencing some MAJOR flooding. The worst flood we have ever experienced and the highest river levels ever recorded. I may or may not have access to the internet in the weeks to come. So far in my county we have 3 towns that have evacuated and more is to be expected. Our roads are shut down in and out of the county and it’s getting worse by the day. Everyday I come to work at the Sheriff’s office we are having more road closures and it is expected to be just as bad most of the summer as the Missouri River Dam in Yankton South Dakota continues to release water to keep their area from flooding to protect their game and wildlife while those of us down river are in a literal state of emergency. The National Guard and Red Cross has finally showed up as of yesterday. The whole tri state area is absolutely devastated, all of the precious farm land that keeps our area going financially has been destroyed and will not be usable for the foreseeable future until river levels subside in the coming months, after their projected planting season of course and by that time it will be too late to get anything in the ground to be able to harvest later in the year. The water came in so fast most farmers couldn’t even rescue their live stock. There are small islands in places where there are 15-20 cows, chickens, pigs, and even wild life such as deer stranded with no dry land in sight for  up to 10 miles in some places. There isn’t hardly any National News coverage about this horrible natural disaster. Ill like a few videos and attach a few pictures if you would like to see any of this. I guess i am just asking for the Coven to think about anyone here in the Midwest that is being affected by this. I don’t know if there is anyone else in the Coven from these states. 

 These photos are also all from around our area. You can see just how high the water is in some places, almost to the tops of grain bins that are usually between 8-12 foot tall.”

I have not hear from her since. She did say as soon as there was a cell tower working outside the immediate area she will check in with me. Her last message she had to drive 20 minutes to get a text sent to me.

Female Druids, the Forgotten Priestesses of the Celts

In all my studies I have never heard of Female Druid Priestess. But after reading this article and thinking back over what I have learn about the ancient Celtics spiritual path and the duality of it I than wondered was this information did not come out until now. I am going to look for at least two other article  confirming what this on days and I will post the links to them. I did a thank you ritual to Bridget for pushing to get this information to us. In medieval Irish legends they were called Banduri or Bandorai. Their existence was confirmed by ancient Greek and Roman writers. But who were the legendary female Druids?

The Druids were the ancient religious leaders, scientists and researchers of the Celtic society. For centuries, there was a common misconception that Druids were only male. However, numerous historical records attest to the fact that there were in fact women among their ranks.

The Wise Ones of Celtic society

The term ”Druid” comes from the Indo-European word ”deru”, which means ”the truth” or ”true”. This word has evolved into the Greek term ”drus”, meaning ”oak”.

The Druids were the intellectual elite. Being a Druid was a tribal function, but they were also poets, astronomers, magicians, and astrologers. It took them 19 years to gain the necessary knowledge and skills in alchemy, medicine, law, the sciences, and more. They organized intellectual life, judicial processes, had skills to heal people, and were involved in developing strategies for war. They were an oasis of wisdom and highly respected in their society.

Roman Accounts of the Druidesses

Gaius Julius Caesar was fascinated with the Druids. He wrote that they were scientists, theologians, and philosophers, and acquired knowledge that was extraordinary. According to experts in Caesar’s writings, the great Roman leader was well aware of the female Druids. Unfortunately, most of the Roman writers ignored women in general, so it is not easy to find reference to them in historical texts. However, Strabo wrote about a group of religious women who lived on an island near the Loir River. In ‘Historia’, Augusta is a description of Diocletian, Alexander Severus and Aurelian, who discussed their problems with the female Druids.

Statues of the Egyptian Goddess Sekhmet Unearthed

Numerous Statues of Sekhmet, The Lioness Goddess of War, Unearthed in Egypt

A team of Egyptian archaeologists excavating the Mortuary Temple of King Amenhotep III in Luxor, a city in southern Egypt and the capital of Luxor Governorate, have brought to the surface an impressive number of statues of the goddess Sekhmet, daughter of the ancient Egyptian sun god Re.

The Significance of the Goddess Sekhmet in Ancient Egyptian Religion

The lion-headed goddess Sekhmet , also known as Sakhmet or Sekhet, was a member of the Memphite Triad, thought to be the wife of Ptah and mother of Nefertem. Linked with war and retribution, she was believed to use arrows to kill her enemies with fire, her breath being the hot desert wind as her body took on the glare of the midday sun. She often represented the destructive force of the sun as well. According to the Egyptian legends, she came into being when Hathor was sent to earth by Ra to take vengeance on man. She was the one who slaughtered mankind and drank their blood, only being stopped by trickery. However, being mother of Nefertem, who himself was a healing god, gave her a more protective side that manifested itself in her aspect of goddess of healing and surgery. The priests of Sekhmet were specialists in the field of medicine, arts linked to ritual and magic. They were also trained surgeons of remarkable caliber. According to many historians, this is the main reason King Amenhotep III had so many statues of Sekhmet surrounding him, as he was suffering from many health problems and he hoped the goddess may cure him; a theory that is verified by Mahmoud Afifi, head of the Ancient Egyptian Antiquities Department at the Ministry of Antiquities, who claimed that the many statues of the goddess in the temple of Amenhotep III were possibly intended to protect the ruler from evil and disease.

A New Egyptian Sphinx is Found

Surprise Discovery of 4,000-Year-Old Egyptian Sphinx with Human Head and Lion Body

Local authorities in Egypt have announced the discovery of an ancient sphinx statue between two of the best known ancient temples in the country – Karnak and Luxor. The discovery was made by chance, during a restoration project, and stunned the construction workers who found it. There have been very few sphinxes discovered in modern times and the find will add to our knowledge of Egyptian sculpture and art. The sphinx will also raise questions as to what else may be found in the area and which Pharaoh the statue represents.

Sphinx Mythology

Sphinxes are common in many mythologies, including Ancient Greece. They are usually portrayed as having human heads, with the bodies of a lion and are sometimes depicted as winged. In Egyptian mythology, they are often portrayed as benevolent and strong and they are usually associated with royalty. The best-known Sphinx in Egypt is, of course, the colossal one at Giza, adjacent to the Great Pyramids.

The Temples of Karnak and Luxor

The temples of Karnak and Luxor are located within the ancient city of Thebes and date back to the second millennium BC. They are not just temples but large religious sites and today they are open-air museums, hugely popular with tourists. The Theban complexes are among the largest in the world and played an important role in the religion of Ancient Egypt.  It is believed that the recently discovered sphinx is the first unearthed in Thebes and one of the most significant finds in the city since the discovery of a tomb in 2014.

A Thought for Today

Many of you know about the recent shut down of the USA Government, part of that shut down included the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Since only parts of the USA government have been recalled to work now it is about for 6 weeks we gain face the truth that more Americans can get very ill possibly fatally with the FDA only concentrating it’s few workers in what is considered by the agency as high risk. So while this cartoon may give you a chuckle it is also here to remind you our voices speaking as one to get the government that is supposed to be for the people back on the right track again. Remember to write to your districts congressperson and your state senators demanding the work for all the people in their district and state no matter whether the person voted for them or not is a babe in arms or a person nearing the end of this lifetime. It is time these officials start taking care of our citizens instead of those half-way across the world. Do not get me wrong I believe in helping those that need it in other parts of the world too but remember the old saying, “Charity begins at home.” In this case “home” is the United States of America,

Also, write to your state’s and county elected officials that have the ability to change and/or modify laws. No one in the United States should ever go to bed hungry or without a warm and at least semi-comfortable to lay their head at night, to be able to shelter from bad weather (snow storms, extremely cold or hot temperatures) thunderstorms, etc).

One person’s letter can make a teeny difference but thousands of letters can and should make a big difference in how our elected officials run our country and states. Let our voices be heard from, Alaska, Hawaii, and all 48 contiguous states, as one for the betterment of the country we live in and the people who need help to build or re-build a better life. Are we not the “land of opportunity?”

When I was in a speech class in college we had to choose any topic we wanted to give a 7-minute speech on. I chose to write and give a speech on how just 1 person can change the world. I used Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Hitler. Both men changed the world in different ways forever. PArt of my speech included how Dr. King’s followers mourned his death at the time and in some ways we still mourn him. While on the other side Hitler people even the ones he trusted most were glad he died.

America and other countries still have a ways to go until we come to a point of there being no discrimination towards anyone no matter what their sexual preference is, what religion they follow, what color their skin is, how fat or skinny a person is, whether they wear glasses or not. I could go on with this list but I want you to think and dig deep into your mind to find out who you think of as not being an equal to you because we all to some extent discriminate against a person or group of people whether we do consciously or unconsciously. I feel we are at a crossroads and have the chance to bury all our negative feeling of discrimination.

Every day for the next 7-days take a piece of paper no matter what size it is and write down everything you know you discriminate against. Take your time doing this as it will help to cleanse your spirit and some chakras as well. On the 8th day either tear your papers into tiny pieces or burn them in your cauldron or whatever you have that you can burn them but be able to collect the ashes. Now go to a crossroad if you can bury them if can’t bury them just pour them out of the container onto the middle of the crossroads. DO NOT LOOK BACK look to the now and the future to start helping to wipe discrimination off the face of Mother Earth.

One final thing to think about if everyone everywhere believes that everyone else is equal to them there would be less need for military personnel because there would be fewer wars and/or terrorist attacks. There would also be a world that could once again find how to live in harmony with Mother Earth and all living things.

I Have a Dream Speech by Martin Luther King, Jr. on August 28, 1963

I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.

Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the Emancipation Proclamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of Negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity.

But one hundred years later, the Negro still is not free; one hundred years later, the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination; one hundred years later, the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity; one hundred years later, the Negro is still languished in the corners of American society and finds himself in exile in his own land.

So we’ve come here today to dramatize a shameful condition. In a sense we’ve come to our nation’s capital to cash a check. When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. This note was the promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

It is obvious today that America has defaulted on this promissory note in so far as her citizens of color are concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, America has given the Negro people a bad check, a check which has come back marked “insufficient funds.” But we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation. And so we have come to cash this check, a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice.

We have also come to this hallowed spot to remind America of the fierce urgency of now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to make real the promises of democracy; now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice; now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood; now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God’s children. It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment. This sweltering summer of the Negro’s legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. Nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning. And those who hope that the Negro needed to blow off steam and will now be content, will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual. There will be neither rest nor tranquility in America until the Negro is granted his citizenship rights. But there is something that I must say to my people, who stand on the worn threshold which leads into the palace of justice. In the process of gaining our rightful place, we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protests to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force. The marvelous new militancy, which has engulfed the Negro community, must not lead us to a distrust of all white people. For many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny. And they have come to realize that their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom. We cannot walk alone. And as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall always march ahead. We cannot turn back.

There are those who are asking the devotees of Civil Rights, “When will you be satisfied?” We can never be satisfied as long as the Negro is the victim of the unspeakable horrors of police brutality; we can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities; we cannot be satisfied as long as the Negro’s basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one; we can never be satisfied as long as our children are stripped of their selfhood and robbed of their dignity by signs stating “For Whites Only”; we cannot be satisfied as long as the Negro in Mississippi cannot vote, and the Negro in New York believes he has nothing for which to vote. No! no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until “justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.”

I am not unmindful that some of you have come here out of great trials and tribulations.  Some of you have come fresh from narrow jail cells. Some of you have come from areas where your quest for freedom left you battered by the storms of persecution and staggered by the winds of police brutality. You have been the veterans of creative suffering. Continue to work with the faith that unearned suffering is redemptive. Go back to Mississippi. Go back to Alabama. Go back to South Carolina. Go back to Georgia. Go back to Louisiana. Go back to the slums and ghettos of our Northern cities, knowing that somehow this situation can and will be changed.  Let us not wallow in the valley of despair.

I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.” I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, sons of former slaves and the sons of former slaveowners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood. I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice. I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

So let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire; let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York; let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania; let freedom ring from the snow-capped Rockies of Colorado; let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of California. But not only that. Let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia; let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee; let freedom ring from every hill and mole hill of Mississippi. “From every mountainside, let freedom ring.”

Senate, Congress, White House Contact Information and Commentary

Ok, it is time for Witches and Pagans to come together to speak as one voice no matter what traditions you follow. Write, email, and call your Senator and Congressperson as often as you can. Let them know that although we are a minority in this country when it comes to religions we will step up as one to help our sacred Mother Earth and all living things upon her including the waterways that flow through her and the oceans that surround her land as well as the air above us. As the USA spend billions helping other countries almost yearly we ask… How much is being spent yearly in the United States of America to help our homeless, children going to bed hungry every night, to help those that have willing serve in our military to get proper medical, dental, and vision care, the same goes for the millions of Americans that for whatever reason cannot afford to pay for medical, dental, and optical insurance and make just a little too much to qualify to get insurance from the state they live in.

Are you ready and willing to make your voice heard with ours? Then start today by finding who your congressperson and senators are. Then write, email, call and let your voice be heard every day you can please. 

We the ordinary people are the ones who are going to make America stand out as a leading country around the world again by forcing those in Washington D. C. to vote for bills, budgets, etc as the people who voted them into the office they now hold want them to? Here is the Preamble to the US Consitution. I ask you …Do you think those people sitting in their warm homes with plenty to eat and warm clothes to wear this winter are living up to our given rights under the constitution this wonderful country of ours was founded upon?

The reason they are not getting paid is because of our messed up government starting from the top with POTUS trickling down through our US Congress and Senate and their sub committees that allocate funds. Oh yeah, that’s right there is no federal budget yet because the selfish egotistical man sitting in one of the most important position in the world, President of the United States of America won’t sign the budget because of wanting money to build a wall between the US and Mexico. I ask you Mr. President which is more important building a stupid wall or keeping the people who you are basically there over all boss paid so their children can go to bed in a home after they have eaten a decent meal? While we are on the subject of hungry, homeless families why is the US sending millions of dollars overseas to countries that aren’t even connected in anyway to the US. Don’t get me wrong I am all for helping people especially children who someday will be in Chafee of our great planet Gaia but we need to help those in our own country just as much as in the foreign ones. I ask you how is not paying US employees “Making America Grate Again’
