(2020) Retrogrades by Charlie Rainbow Wolf (Part 4)

SIDE NOTE: This a 4 part series with half posted on WOTC and the other half on Coven Life on alternating days. The posts that will be on Coven life will be re-bogged to here and vise versa. It would be a huge boost to Coven Life if you would click on the box that says, “Follow the Coven”. Hopefully, by the end of the year, CL will be receiving a small income from allowing WordPress to put up advertising from whoever on the website. To re-blogged  the post from Witches of The Craft click on “Follow” this will help boost WOTC’s small income from allowing WordPress to put advertising for whoever on the website. Thank you very much in advance for your support of WitchesofTheCraft.com and  CovenLife.co. My goal is to do one fundraiser per year to help people who cannot afford their entire Coven Life’s School of Witchcraft course fee. More on that at a later date.

Neptune **

Neptune is home in Pisces now and for several more years. and it’s quite happy in this position. Its movements influence your hopes and dreams, your spiritual evolution, and potential attachment issues. When Neptune retrogrades, it is easy for phobias and fears to surface. If you’ve been deluding yourself in any way, those illusions could be shattered, exposing the truth. The deeper your fantasies, the harsher the truth might appear, especially if you’ve been self-medicating in some way. However rough or painful it might appear, exposing the truth is always a good thing. for it helps you embrace your higher self and grow your soul.

Pluto***

First it is a planet, then it is no planet, then it is!* Pluto is farthest from the Earth, so its retrogrades pass largely unnoticed, apart from the impact you personally or are part of an important aspect pattern. Pluto is associated with evolution, like the phoenix, who dies and rises from the ashes. Look to Pluto to find your personal transformation, where you need to let go and grow, and what is holding you back from being all you can be. Pluto’s retrograde is a time when you may be forced to come to terms with things, demolishing what has power over you, so you once again can take control of your destiny.

Conclusion

Some people believe retrogrades are detrimental. I don’t think that’s necessarily true; however, anything can seem negative if you’re naturally pessimistic! A planet’s retrograde inhibits its energy, limits its potential, and perhaps creates some delay or disruption. Retrogrades are a wonderful time for all the re- words, like review, reorganize, reflect, revamp, revise, and more. Use them to your advantage.

Mars

Mars is pretty volatile, to begin with, and the retrograde period makes things even more unsettled. MarsMars is associated with adventure, assertiveness, and action. Mars retrograde only comes around every couple of years, making it the second-rarest retrograde, and lasts just over two months. It enters the retrograde zone in late July, stations in September, turns direct in November and clears its shadow the first week of 2021.*

You’ll feel impatient during this period, but it’s not a time to rush forward into anything. You might be more accident prone than usual — another reason to take your time. If you’re easily upset, this is an ideal period to seek help or counseling. If you use this time to your advantage, you’ll be able to come to terms with whatever issues the retrograde period exposes and take the appropriate action. Then, once Mars moves out of its shadow period you’re also moving forward toward your goals.

The Outer Planets

I believe the retrogrades of the outer planets have less impact than those of the inner planets. There are exceptions to this, and the first of those is if the planets are making a strong aspect — geometric angles — to other planets in the sky at the same time. The second exception is if the planet is aspecting a planet or power point in your natal birth chart. The outer planets move slowly and tend to bring about a slow evolution, unlike the inner planets transits, which tend to be more fleeting things, The outer planets go into retrograde for several months every year. Aside from the aforementioned conditions, their strongest influence will be when they change stations.

Jupiter

Jupiter is the planet of luck and abundance, and this is true even during the retrograde period. In fact, the retrograde often benefits Jupiter. It’s a wonderful time for reflection and philosophical contemplation. Lessons to help you to find your authentic self come your way to set you up for reaching your full potential if you let them. Jupiter’s backward dance brings a chance to determine what’s really important and where you’re merely distracted. It’s a time for overcoming self-indulgence and breaking habits, so when Jupiter turned direct, the new and improved you is ready to seize any opportunity that comes your way.
