Under what Moon Phase Were You Born?

I find this article very interesting because I do Celtic Moon Charts  (something I will be offering through this site for a fee after Samhain). Our Moon sign is just as important as our Sun sign when it comes to different traits we might have and which Element we probably work best with. But surprisingly our birth sign Element is not always the element we feel the most comfortable working with. Now on to the article.

Each of us has a particular personality trait depending on which phase the moon was in at the time of birth. People born during certain lunar phases tend to share certain attributes with others born during this period. Knowing at what period you came to this world can give you valuable insight into your character, emotions, behavior and motivation in life. It can make you aware of you deepest underlying drives, the fundamental purpose that you feel you have in life, and the contribution that you can make to society generally during the course of your lifetime. Armed with this knowledge, you can begin to understand your responses, and then attune yourself to a personal cyclical pattern that you go through each and every month.

First, you need to find your lunar birth phase, which is the stage that the moon was in at the time of your birth.

Birthstone Magic

Each month of the year is associated with a specific stone – in some cases, two stones. From January’s bold red garnets to the speckled blue bands of December’s turquoise stones, there are any number of magical uses for the traditional birthstones. If you have any of these on hand – whether it’s your birth month or not – why not incorporate them into spellwork and rituals? Let’s get started!

Blessed and Happy Birthday for May

Dear brothers and sisters born in May….

May the next year of your life bring you more love, hope, harmony, blessings of all kinds, keep your home dry, warm or cool and safe. May your income be enough to cover all your and your families needs with a little left over for somethings you just want.

Wishing you the best of days, restful slumbers, and pleasant dreams all through out the year.

Remember we do not get a year older we get a year wiser with each passing birthday!

What Moon Phase Were You Born Under?

ach of us has a certain personality trait depending on which phase the moon was in at the time of birth. People born during certain lunar phases tend to share certain attributes with others born during this time. Knowing which phase you were born under can give you valuable insight into your character, emotions, behavior and motivation in life. It can make you aware of you deepest underlying drives, the fundamental purpose that you feel you have in life, and the contribution that you can make to society at large during the course of your lifetime. Armed with this knowledge, you can begin to understand your responses, and then attune yourself to a personal cyclical pattern that you go through each and every month.

First, you need to find your lunar birth phase. This is the phase that the moon was in at the time of your birth.

Just type in your birthdate, and it will give you a picture of the moon on that day. You may have to do a little figuring to determine which phase it is…..if you find it hard to determine from this site, you may want to check with a chart to make sure.

Remember that the moon stays in each phase for three and one-half days. Let’s say that you find a chart that shows when the moon begins each phase, but doesn’t give the phase for a specific day. It’s not that hard to calculate which phase your birthday falls into. Find the phase closest to your date of birth. The day given will be the FIRST day of that lunar phase.

Count that as Day One. Then count two and one-half days after that. If your birthday falls within that group, then that is your lunar phase. If it falls BEFORE that lunar phase date, then you should check the lunar phase right before that one….you should fall within those three and one-half days. I know it sounds a little complicated, but it’s really pretty simple!

What about those whose birthday falls on a day when the moon is moving out of one phase into the other? You may want to consult a chart and use your time of birth to determine exactly what phase you are in, but you may find you share characteristics of both phases…sort of like those whose sun sign falls on the cusp of the zodiac.

There are eight personality types to correspond with eight lunar phases:

A Tought for Today

If you are thinking of doing an astrological chart, I suggest you start with your birth chart. This is the to me id the most important chart and the easiest.

I have found over the years when doing an astrological chart it is best to combine a few different types of astrological views in combination to get the best reading for yourself or others. While most westerns use only the Sun Signs include looking at the Chinese, and Celtic/Druid information as well. This can give you a better idea of where you stand in the Universe and possibly what awaits you and makes you part of who you are.

Remember though the future is not written in stone and your actions and/or words may change what you see on your birth chart. You can also do love charts, financial charts, and other as well. This is a form of divination so if you do a chart except your birth one have a specific question to ask and keep it in your mind when doing a chart for that specific question.

I will also tell you that to do a thorough chart of any kind can be time-consuming and does not need to be completed in one sitting. If you stop and go back to it make your you ask the question exactly the same way every time. When I do a chart say for how my money situation is going to be over the next year I write my original question down and keep it with the papers for the chart I am doing, that way the question never changes until I am done with that specific chart.

I no longer to charts of any kind for anyone but myself and my family, so please do not ask me to. Thank you.

Blessed be dear ones.

Sun Astroligical SIgns and Their Cooresponding Element

Each of the twelve Sun signs correspond to one of the four basic elements of nature. Usually you feel most drawn to the element that you are born under and can work with it the easiest when doing spells and/or rituals. Those born on the cusp (three days either side of the changing from one astrological house to the next) have the advantage of having two elements they may work with well and/or drawn to. Many time though those born on the cusp feel more drawn to the sign their birth date falls closer to, for example someone born May 21st is on the cusp of Taurus and Gemini may feel a pull more towards Taraus which is Earth then Gemini which is Air or a combination of both.

Chinese Astrology Overview

Chinese Zodiac Signs

The Chinese zodiac, also known as the Sheng xiao in Chinese, relates each year to an animal and its alleged traits, according to a 12-year cycle. Besides China and Taiwan, it has wide following in several East Asian countries. The main focus of this page is to study the Chinese zodiac signs and what do they stand for.

The Chinese zodiac bears several similarities to the Western zodiac. In both, the time cycles are divided into 12 parts, with each part labeled with the names of animals. Each of these Chinese zodiac signs, like its western counterpart, is widely connected with a culture of influence of a person’s relationship to the cycle, according to their personality and events in their life. However, there are certain major differences between the Chinese zodiac horoscope and the western. The Chinese zodiac has the 12-part cycle divided into years rather than months. Some of the zodiac signs in the Western forms are not represented by animals, for example the inanimate balance scale “Libra”.

The Chinese zodiac signs of twelve animals stand for twelve different types of personality. The Chinese zodiac year traditionally starts with the sign of the Rat. Given below are the twelve Chinese zodiac signs in order and their characteristics:
