All Paths lead to Spirit

I was recently reading an article about the diversity and modern thought of more people embracing a nameless path. This could elude to the dynamics of modern progression because of the shift of global consciousness in the true meaning of spirituality.

Not choosing a label for your path in any direction can even place confusion among others. Well, what does that mean? In the order of community we all feel that we need a label, mum, dad, brother, sister grandfather, grandmother etc.…… In the structure of employment we take labels such as CEO, supervisor, manager, co-worker etc.…. In the essence of spirituality we use many labels within labels, such as Christian- Anglican, Protestant, Born Again, Orthodox, Catholic, or the many paths of Wicca, such as Alexandrian, Gardnerian, Dianic, Celtic, Georgian are just to name a few. Then there is Reconstructionist, Eclectic, Folkloric, occult, Syncretic etc. Or how about gender- Male, female, asexual, androgen, bigender, Hijra, Pangender etc.….  Now on sexuality- homosexual, heterosexual, bisexual, asexual, Pansexual etc.…. All too much? All too confusing? I can see why so many people reject labels in this big wide world.  An over stimulation of information perhaps?

These labels are placed on us or we even place on ourselves in order to define our position among other human beings.  What is it that we need to prove to ourselves and to others? Is it our authenticity? Is it our existence? If not then what? So many questions…… Ones that we need to be asking ourselves and ones that have been asked throughout millennia. However this discussion is beyond the scope of this article so let’s swing our train of thought back on its tracks.

For now it is best to start by defining the true meaning of what spirituality means to you. Meditate, drum, walk, take time out from society, do what it takes to go within, as this is where the true answer lies. Whatever you choose be sure that you pick a path with a heart!

This is your path, your life, your destiny. Effectively this is how religious movements and thought processes have evolved in the past. Who and what is to say we are not progressing into yet another spiritual revolution! Take the time to define where your spirituality is inspired from?  How it makes you feel? What is it that attracts you to the essence of your Spirit? And why do you feel that you are changing, evolving and progressing in a particular direction.

The true essence of your spirituality is only labelled by what you choose to bring into your life. Is yours a path of bliss, a path of suffering, a path of loss or one of wisdom? Whatever path you choose make sure it is one that you pick from the heart, not one that has a label or one that is trending!

Sometimes it’s recognizing the invitation to answer your call by taking a big, bold step and leave the beaten track. Have confidence that spirit is conspiring on your behalf to support you in this move. Take the plunge and sail into those uncharted waters. This will guide you both to your path through this earth, as well as your journey through the stars.

Happy travels Spirit Seekers

Types Of Wicca

Alexandrian Wicca

Founded in England during the 1960s, Alex Sanders referred to himself as the “King” of his Witches. The rituals are said to be modified Gardenarian.

British Wicca

A mix of Celtic and Gardenarian beliefs. Most famous organization at this time is the International Red Garters. British Traditionals move mostly from within the Farrar studies (the famous Witch husband and wife from England.) They too are fairly structured in their beliefs, and train through the degree process. Their covens are also co-ed.

Celtic Wicca

The use of a Celtic/Druidic pantheon mixed with a little ritual Gardnerian, and heavily stressing the elements, nature and the Ancient Ones. They had a vast knowledge of and respect for the healing and magickal qualities of plants and stones, flowers, trees, elemental spirits, the little people, gnomes and fairies.
