Inexpensive Books on The Craft

I have been asked over the years about good books pertaining to The Craft and so decided to do some searching on Amazon.com for inexpensive decent books. I found quite a few starting from HER on up to a $100.00 USD. These come in Kindle, paper and hard back. The less expensive way to go is Kindle. Amazon.com offers free Kindle reading apps for your cell phone, tablet, laptop, and computer.

If you have a favorite author type that into Amazon’s search box or you can use Witchcraft, Wicca, Magic etc. They also carry books on Fairies, Dragons, Unicorns, and other mythical creatures. Basically if it is a magickal and/or topic on The Craft you should be able to find a book you would like.

Also check out your local library before buying. I love in a conservative town but can still find books on The Craft in our library. Remember most books on different ancient cultures mythology are based in fact.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

1 Blue 12 inch/30.48 cm Taper Candle

1 Candle Holder

Lighter or Matches

Atheme or Something Sharp to engrave candle

Use Rune markings for two similar things you want to bring into your life. Here is a picture of the alphabet:

This is a chart of the Runes and their meanings. I keep a copy of this in my BOS for reference occasionally. Between knowing the Tarot, then the Runes, a witch's brain does tend to get overloaded and need a cheat sheet.

You will be engraving your candle during the ritual. Please see comment below for correct way to draw your rune.

During a circle when asked if you, “Come in perfect love and perfect trust” it is referring to you coming into the circle trusting and loving not only in your brothers and sisters in the circle but in the spiritual path you are following also.

Today some of us are in the waning part of the day and the waxing part of the night. While others are in the waxing part of the night and the waning part of the day. This is the reason for calling in the Moon goddess Luna and the Sun god Ra. Some of you may prefer to work with only Luna or Ra while others prefer to work with both, either way, you feel comfortable in doing this is acceptable.

RITUAL

LADY BELTANE: I call upon Air to enter the Watchtower of the East. To protect all of those here today.

I call upon Fire to enter the Watchtower of the South. To protect all of those here today.

I call upon Water to enter the Watchtower of the West. To protect all of those here today.

I call upon Earth to enter the Watchtower of the North. To protect all of those here today.

I call upon Spirit to stand beside each of us for protection today.

With Luna and Ra I walk this circle three times three to protect and lend their power to all who are gathered here today. I take us to a place that is out of time and our normal plane of existents. I ask you to all come to this plane in perfect love and perfect trust.

EVERYONE: Please type in “I come in perfect love and perfect trust.” Your name and what country or state you live in.

LADY BELTANE:  While engraving your runes into your candle visulize the things you want coming into your life. You have 2 minutes to do this. When you are finished type in “So Mote It Be.” We will take an addition 2 minutes for you to meditate on your life being better with these two things in it.

LADY BELTANE: I dismiss Earth from the Watchtower of the North with our love and thanks.

I dimiss Water from the Watchtower of the West with our love and thanks.

I dismiss Fire from the watchtower of the South with our love and thanks.

I dismiss Air from the Watchtower of the East with our love and thanks.

I dismiss Spirit from standing beside each of us with our love and thanks.

I walk this circle widdershins with Luna and Ra to bring us back into time and our plane of exsitenist.

I dismiss Luna and Ra with our love and thanks for protecting us and lending their powers to help us bring thingd needed into our life.

The circle is open but not broken. Merry part until we merry meet again.

There once was a Willow, and he was very old,

And all his leaves fell off from him, and left him in the cold;

But ere the rude winter could buffet him with snow,

There grew upon his hoary head a crop of mistletoe.

All wrinkled and furrowed was this old Willow’s skin,

His taper finger trembled, and his arms were very thin;

Two round eyes and hollow, that stared but did not see;

And sprawling feet that never walked, had this most ancient tree.
