One Way to Get Back in Sync with Your Body, Spirit and Faith

As many of my regular readers know the last few weeks have been very hard for me because of the first anniversary of my mom’s crossing into the Summerlands. I allowed myself to get completely ungrounded, uncentered, as well as not doing my morning or evening prayers (yes many witches/pagans do pray). I was so far out of balance that even with being pagan and a witch for 39 years I could not unblock my own chakras, find my center or completely ground myself as my mind was in a deep depression and my heart still felt broken over losing my mom. Losing her also brought the pain back from losing my dad in 1970.

How did I get through this time? By asking the Elders of our coven to help me. I feel you never learning everything you might need to know in The Craft and it does not hurt to ask those more learned in aspects of it that you know little or nothing about. I also feel when you have tried different ways to help yourself and nothing has helped, no matter what the problem is you are dealing with, ask for help.

One Exercise for Ridding Chakras of Negativity:

Go outdoors. Step barefoot into the grass, dirt, sand, rocks or whatever type of ground is convenient for you to do this exercise on. Plant your feet firmly about shoulder width apart on Mother Earth. (I prefer to be facing directly into the Sun as Ra is my patron God.)

Lift your arms over your head with palms facing upward towards the sky.

Ask the Universe to send positive energy through your hands to push the negative energy out through your feet into Mother Earth. To be cleansed by her and released to where it wants to go.

The mantra that was suggested by High Priestess Streggga was “I will allow myself to heal and be healed.” You can recite whatever you think will help your specific situation. If you are not what the words for your mantra should be…ask High Priestess Lady Beltane or Stregga or one of our coven Elders for help. Do not think it will be a bother to us that is what we are here for.

There is no time limit on how long or how often you should do this exercise.

This will cleanse your chakras, help to balance e and ground you. For centering you should do a mediation that has you look into yourself to see what is making you out of balance. During your meditation is also a great time to ask your spirit guides and ancestors to help you through whatever it is that has you out of whack.
