Balance in Our Life
I know I have posted before about how important balance in all things in our lives is important. The reason I am doing another post on this topic is I have lost it in my life but am working hard to regain it. I have been working seven days a week at two part-time jobs for about a month, doing posts on here, answering emails from students and want to be students, taking care of two of my grandsons at least one morning a week before work, household chores, leading coven circles, and the list can go on. Nowhere in there is time for just me to really relax, do a ritual on my own, visit with friends and family in person or by phone, in other words, my scales are tipped towards doing things for others. Starting tomorrow I will have every Tuesday off and the first one is going to be a just for me, no household chores, no cooking, maybe not even get out of my pj’s (the only things I will willing do is for my two familiars and spend quality time with my husband) to begin getting my balance back into my life. My familiars, Cleo and Star, and husband have also suffered from my being out of balance as I have hardly spent any quality time with any of them.
When we are out of balance we are really no good to ourselves and therefore not really that good helping and doing things for others.
I suggest you use an imaginary scale to find out how balanced your life is. Is the side for doing for others (include household chores) heavier then the side that weighs what you do for yourself (meditation, rituals, fun things you enjoy doing, etc). Do not rush making your lists, take your time. Even a day or two to make sure you have everything on them you do either daily, weekly or even monthly.
How does your scale tip or is it pretty even? After you find out make a plan to bring the scales back to being almost even or better yet totally even.
Blessed be dear ones.
